Merlin (a free app) will help you to identify the birds sounds you hear and help you to learn about them. After a short time on using the app you will start to id birds just by hearing them. Reading through the information provided and viewing the pictures will help you to better understand who you are seeing.
Merlin also allows you to save a list of the birds you have heard or seen. We have used it to track birds in and around our farm while we know others who have tracked birds through out their travels.

Finding answers is a simple as opening the app, taking a picture and reading the results. Picture this has a lot of data from other users and AI and we have found results to be very accurate. This app has a free trail and is quite useful without the subscription, but you get more details on the paid version.
